WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

After Disco Demolition Night in 1979, Mike Veeck was down and out of baseball, and, essentially, of life.  It took a decade for Veeck to get his break.  In 1989, Roland Hemond introduced Veeck to Van Schley.  Schley was looking for someone to run the Miami Miracle, an unaffiliated minor league outfit drawing only a few hundred fans per gaem. Schley said he needed someone like Bill Veeck to run his club. Mike took Fun Is Good back to the minor leagues where it began more than 40 years earlier in Milwaukee with his father, Bill Veeck.  Over the next nine years Mike helped the Goldklang Group build a minor league empire of profitable teams, all widely acclaimed for their customer service and for bringing baseball back to the fans.

Veeck has successfully laid the foundation for Fun is Good in the workplace and the careers of his employees.  Fun is Good teaches that the power of irreverence can shape careers and business, from major corporations to the homes of all employees.
